Family Trees: Interactive & Charts
Copper Thread Genealogy conducts in-depth family history investigations using a wide range of records, including census data, birth, marriage, and death certificates, and military records. We are dedicated to uncovering each family’s story through careful research at local Upper Peninsula libraries, archives, and historical societies, as well as through the retrieval of church and mining company documents that help bring generations of history to light.
Genealogy is more than names and dates. It connects people to the places, occupations, and events that shaped their ancestors’ lives. Professional research ensures that information is accurate, sourced, and supported by historical context rather than assumptions or online guesswork. By working with a genealogist, families gain access to hard-to-find local records, professional analysis of complex evidence, and a clear narrative of how their ancestors lived and worked in their time.
Our family trees are created in two ways: interactive, thoroughly sourced trees on Ancestry.com and written, detailed charts created by Copper Thread Genealogy.
